Mr Shervington operates a legal practice in Western Australia. He specialises in the laws regulating companies and the securities industry in Australia. Mr Shervington has almost 25 years experience as a lawyer, gained since his admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Mr Shervington has since 1985 served as a director of various ASX listed companies as well as a number of unlisted public and private companies. Mr Shervington is currently also a director of the following ASX listed companies: Australian Zircon NL, Prairie Downs Metals Limited, Colonial Resources Limited, Industrial Minerals Corporation Limited, Altera Resources Limited and Western Uranium Limited.
Mr Mike Krzus

Mike Krzus is an experienced petroleum industry executive with over 25 years experience managing technical and business areas in upstream oil & gas, LNG and geothermal. He holds a Diploma in Oil and Gas Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a BSc. in Petroleum Engineering Tulsa University. Mr Krzus started his career as a reservoir engineer with Home Oil in Calgary, before joining Woodside Petroleum in 1986. During his 22 years with Woodside Mr Krzus held various technical and business roles involving Business Development, Business Planning, Joint Venture management (North West Shelf) and oil and gas field development, including a four year secondment to Shell, leading gas field development teams in the Netherlands. Most recently before joining Emerald, Mr Krzus managed Eden Energy’s geothermal assets as Executive Director of Terratherma, a wholly owned Eden company.
Mr John Hannaford

Mr Hannaford is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has worked in various corporate roles within the resources sector in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has been involved with a wide range of companies including listed oil and gas explorer and producers, oilfield construction groups and various gold and mineral exploration companies. In 2004, Mr Hannaford established Ventnor Capital, to provide specialist corporate advice to companies within the resources industries. Prior to establishing Ventnor Capital, Mr Hannaford provided various administrative, corporate and strategic financial advices to resource companies and was a Company Secretary or Financial Controller for many of these companies. Mr Hannaford is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Mr Hannaford is currently also a director of Atlantic Limited.
Mr Robert Berven

Mr Berven is a professional Geologist, originally from Canada, who has over 40 years experience in the petroleum and mining industries in North America and Australasia. He originally worked in Australia with Marathon Petroleum Corporation from 1966-1969. He worked as a petroleum consultant in Indonesia then joined Trend Exploration in Indonesia and USA from 1977-1981. He was then involved from 1981-1986 with various projects including, Prospect Petroleum, based in Denver Colorado, which commenced oil production from the Illinois Basin and grew to a staff of 40 before being acquired. Mr Berven returned to Perth in 1986 to form Eldorado Resources NL, which was acquired by Croesus Mining NL and is now a subsidiary of Croesus. He has also worked within the Business Development and Marketing team of World Geoscience Corporation Pty Ltd (now Fugro Surveys Ltd). He was founder of Flare Petroleum NL which was acquired by Daytona Energy Corporation in 1999.
Mr Berven is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr Berven was a Director of Croesus Mining NL until 2004 and was until two and a half years ago a Director of Daytona Energy Corp., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada.
Mr Morgan Barron

Morgan is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has worked in various corporate roles both in Australia and Europe. Prior to joining Ventnor Capital, Morgan was a Financial Analyst (M+A) at MacMahon Holdings Ltd providing strategic advice, recommendations and execution of a number of key acquisitions in the Mining and Civil Contracting markets. Morgan was also involved in a number of strategic projects including the October 2005 MacMahon capital raising of $56m.
Morgan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, is an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia, and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. After graduating from UWA he started his career at Horwath and then KPMG. Once qualified he made the move to London where he gained experience in Banking and European acquisitions for a US listed Investment bank, providing him with a strong commercial, financial and management background.
Mr Andy Padman
Exploration and Subsurface Manager (Consultant)
Emerald retained Mr. Andy Padman as Exploration and Subsurface Studies Manager. Mr. Padman is a highly experienced explorationist with over 35 years gas and oil exploration experience in US, UK, Indonesia and Australia, including 16 years with Exxon. Mr. Padman has extensive experience in the Canning Basin, gained from his tenure at Arc Energy. Emerald is pleased to have secured the services Mr. Padman and welcomes him to the executive team.
